Suspect arrested after pursuit in stolen vehicle
A Mississippi man was arrested by the Minot Police Department following a brief pursuit Friday.
According to the department, at about 9:00 p.m., officers located a stolen silver 2002 Dodge Caravan in the 3100 block of 16th Street Southwest. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the department earlier.

The pursuit ended when the stolen vehicle collided with a tree near the UND Center for Family Medicine. Covington then fled on foot, but officers quickly apprehended him without further incident.
Covington has been charged with armed robbery, a Class A felony, and domestic violence-serious bodily injury, terrorizing, theft of a motor vehicle and fleeing in a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, all Class C felonies.
