Minot woman sentenced for drug offenses
Heaven-Leigh Dawn Christensen, 32, Minot, pled guilty last Thursday in North Central District Court to two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-second offense.
According to court documents, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on a northwest Minot property. Officers searched the residence and detained four individuals, identified as Jesse Levi Jones, Winona Emilia Keplin, Jasmine Mariah Halsey and Heaven-Leigh Dawn Christensen.
Officers found a fentanyl pill, 3 grams of methamphetamine, foil and straws with burn marks and residue and a plastic container with white residue. All defendants had prior drug related offenses.
District Judge Gary Lee sentenced Christensen on Thursday to one year, 361 days, with credit for four days earned good time, along with credit for 30 days time served. She also was sentenced to two years supervised probation and must complete a chemical dependency evaluation. The second charge was deemed a misdemeanor following a change of plea, and she must pay $650 in fines and fees.
