ND Highway Patrol identifies injured pedestrian
The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified those involved in a pedestrian crash that sent a Minot man with serious injuries to the hospital on Saturday.
Hadley Hjelden, 27, Minot, was identified as the driver of a 2014 Ford Escape which was traveling north on 16th Street Northwest shortly after 9 p.m. The vehicle struck pedestrian Todd Mathistad, 66, Minot, who was crossing from west to east on 16h Street Northwest in the intersection of Wildwood Avenue. Mathistad sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
