Minot program receives Director’s Award of Excellence

BISMARCK- The Health Sciences Education program at Minot Public Schools was presented the Director’s Award of Excellence during the general session of the 54th Annual Department of Career and Technical Education Professional Development Conference held at the Bismarck Event Center this month, according to a news release.

The award is an acknowledgment of superior career and technical education programs in North Dakota.

Trisha Carlson, Melissa Johannes, Christine Thompson, Mitch Meyer, Stacy Coon, Kari Francis, all instructors, and Pam Stroklund, CTE director, were recognized at the awards ceremony.

The program was recognized for:

– Offering a sequence of courses to investigate the roles of biomedical and medical careers professionals.

– Growth from two to six instructors in less than 10 years.

– Simulated clinical lab facility for instructing students on the latest medical-related tasks.
