Minot man sentenced for two felony drug-related charges

A Minot man charged with felony fentanyl and cocaine possession has been sentenced to three years after entering a change of plea to guilty in North Central District Court.

Brandon W. Little, 52, Minot, entered his change of plea on Thursday before Judge Richard Hagar, pleading guilty to possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, a Class B felony; and possession of controlled substance-cocaine, a Class C felony.

According to court documents, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force executed a warrant on July 2 at an apartment on Ninth Street Northwest in Minot and observed two individuals who were detained by task force officers. The individuals were identified as Little and Alanna Nichole Regalado, 29, who were both determined to be currently on parole or probation.

Little was found to have a tinfoil bindle of fentanyl on him as well as a plastic bag of white power which Little said he believed to be cocaine. After receiving approval from Little’s parole and probation officer, task force officers searched Little’s vehicle and located two additional bindles of fentanyl along with a digital scale.

Hagar sentenced Little on the fentanyl count to first serve three years of a 10-year sentence with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, with credit for 58 days already served. Hagar ordered Little to complete three years of supervised probation upon release, along with a chemical dependency evaluation. Little was sentenced to a concurrent sentence of three years on the cocaine charge, with credit for 58 days already served and three years of supervised probation.

Little was also assessed $775 in court fines and fees.
