Produced water, oil spill occurs at well site
JOHNSONS CORNER – Equipment malfunction caused about 33,516 gallons of produced water and 84 gallons of oil released at a well site about 10 miles from Johnsons Corner in McKenzie County on Wednesday.
ConocoPhillips reported the incident to the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division Thursday. The products were contained on location and cleanup was underway. All the products were recovered. A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
