Winners of the North Dakota State Parade were announced at an awards ceremony Tuesday.
They are as follows:
- Grand Marshal Award: First Western Bank & Trust
- Flickertail Award: West Minot Church of God
- Heritage Award: Magic City Electric
- North Dakota State Fair Award: North American Coal
- Pioneer Award: BNSF Railway
- Roughrider Award: Minot Trail Riders
- Chairman's Award: Bronzed & Bladed
- Youth Sweepstakes Award: Minot North Cheer Team
- Parade Committee Award: Gene-O's Septic
- Governor's Award: Realty ONE Group Magnum
- Dakota Proud Award: Minot Walk to End Alzheimer's
- Lewis & Clark Award: Western North Dakota Honor Flight
The parade was held in Minot Saturday. All entries in the parade are not judged but only those requesting to be judged.
The Grand Marshal Award is a traveling trophy. Award winners received plaque awards.
Theme of this year's parade was "XTRA! XTRA! North Dakota Hot News" celebrating the importance of newspapers to communities.
