Minot settles with Moose
The Minot City Council approved settlement and purchase agreements Monday to acquire a portion of Moose Lodge property for the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project.
The City of Minot initiated eminent domain proceedings against Minot Moose Lodge to acquire a tract of property and permanent flowage easement. Under the settlement, the city will buy 1.21 acres and obtain the easement for $314,776 and pay $22,700 in attorney costs.
The lodge building is not included in the purchase.
