Craig Rudland, general manager of the North Dakota State Fair, said visitors to the fair are urged to make sure they drink plenty of water, take breaks and visit the air-conditioned commercial buildings, especially during days of extreme temperatures.

He said Commercial 1, 2 and 3 are all air conditioned, as is the large State Fair Center. He said shade and benches exist around the fairgrounds to rest and take breaks.

“As far as livestock, we have very large barn fans running nonstop, along with exhaust fans in the barns and newly installed ceiling fans in one barn,” Rudland said.
