Driver injured in two-vehicle crash near Trenton

TRENTON – A 70-year-old Williston man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash two miles west of Trenton on Monday.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2019 Can-Am Defender driven by the Williston man was going north on 147th Avenue Northwest and rolled through a stop sign onto N.D. Highway 1804. A Ford F-150 was traveling east on Highway 1804, attempted to brake but was unable to stop.The Ford struck the Can-Am in the front driver’s side area. The Can-Am came to rest in the middle of the highway while the Ford F-150 came to rest in the north ditch.

The driver of the Can-Am was taken to a hospital in Williston before being flown to a Minot hospital for treatment.

The driver and passenger of the Ford F-150 were identified as Jesus Jalomo Salas, 27, Mexico, and Kedrik Solis, 22, Washington. Neither was injured in the crash.

The three people involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts, according to the Highway Patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
