Minot Fire Department crews were dispatched to a northwest Minot residence for reports of a garage fire in the early morning on Thursday.

Four fire engines and one aerial ladder arrived at the scene after the reports came in shortly after 5 a.m. and found a detached garage fully engulfed in heavy fire. Crews from all five stations immediately began extinguishing the fire and protecting adjacent homes from the flames.

The crews contained the fire and completed a search of the home to confirm that no one was in the residence. No residents were displaced due to the fire and no injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation.
