Lansford Threshing Show set for this weekend
LANSFORD – The annual Lansford Threshing Show will be held this weekend with tractor pulls, a parade, steak fry and car show among activities on the schedule.
Organized by the Lansford Thresher’s and Historical Association, the show begins Saturday with breakfast at the Country Club from 8-11 a.m. Weigh-in for the tractor pull also begins at 8 a.m. at the threshing grounds on the south side of town, with the pull starting at 10 a.m.
A car cruise runs from noon-5:30 p.m., followed by the car show and steak fry from 5:30-9 p.m.
Sunday’s events also begin with breakfast at the Country Club from 8-11 a.m. The Tractor Trek leaves from the threshing grounds at 8:30 a.m. Country Church is set for 10:30 a.m. at the threshing grounds.
The parade begins at 1 p.m and travels through town, leaving from the elevator. Following the parade, there will be an ice cream social at the museum, a Quilts of Valor presentation, kiddie tractor pull and threshing of wheat, all at the threshing grounds.
A vendor show, toy show, blacksmith demonstration, static displays of tractors and a City of Lansford replica display will be featured throughout the weekend. Food truck concessions will be available form 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $5. Children younger than 12 are admitted free.
