MSU Robotics team takes honors at symposium

Students from the Minot State University Computer Science Club earned first- and third-place honors in the 56th annual Midwest Instructional Computing Symposium held April 5 in Minneapolis. It is the second consecutive year MSU students have finished in first place.

The first-place team members were Saif Khan, Kaif Kahn and Cayden White. The third-place team included Travis Smith, Kid Demeke and Albert Demotte. The teams are coached by Darren Seifert, Scott Kast, Daren Erisman and Muhammad Abusager.

The competition featured teams from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Minot Mayor Tom Ross signed a proclamation Monday declaring today as MSU Robotics Team Day.
