Early morning crash damages SW Minot homes

A pickup truck veered off 16th Street Southwest in Minot and damaged two Minot homes early Sunday, according to the Minot Police Department.

Police, Minot Fire Department and Trinity First Response responded to the 600 block of 16th Street about 1 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle crashing into a home.

A 2012 Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound went off the west side of the road and struck two unoccupied vehicles parked in a driveway. The Silverado pushed the vehicles into the attached garage of the first home. The Silverado then continued through the attached garage of the next home, where it came to rest in front of the unoccupied home.

Riley Tuenge, 20, of Rugby, was the driver and sole occupant of the Silverado.

Tuenge is charged with DUI-second offense, unlawful possession or consumption of alcohol, reckless endangerment (C felony) and criminal mischief (A misdemeanor).

Tuenge was treated for minor injuries at Trinity Hospital and then transported to the Ward County Jail.

The Minot Fire Department had crews from all five stations and their technical rescue trailer working throughout the night to stabilize both structures that sustained damage during the incident.
