Base squadron commander relieved of duty

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – The commander of a Minot Air Force Base squadron was relieved of his duty on Friday.

According to information from base officials, Col. Daniel Hoadley, commander of the 5th Bomb Wing, relieved Lt. Col. Larry Sigman from command of the 5th Communications Squadron due to a loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command.

“There is no impact to Minot’s mission or ability to support national defense objectives,” Hoadley said.

Lt. Col. Jared Hann, former deputy commander of the 5th Mission Support Group, assumed command of the 5th Communications Squadron the same day.
