Alzheimer’s Association offers two presentations

The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free virtual presentation titled “Healthy Living for the Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” on Monday, April 22, from noon-1 p.m.

Learn how insights from science can help make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Discover the research on diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

A second free virtual presentation titled “The Daily Work of Grief: Reflections and Healing” will be held on Friday, April 26, from 10-11:30 a.m.

Care partners going through the journey of caring for someone with dementia often experience different kinds of grief and loss. Many people may not be aware that there is a name for what they are feeling, and there are strategies to help cope with these feelings. This healing discussion offers real-world examples and practical techniques.

Both presentations are free and open to the public, with registration through the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-Dakota Chapter. The project is funded by a grant through the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section.
