NEW TOWN – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a two-vehicle crash west of New Town on Monday.

Darek Pederson, 47, of Blaine, Minnesota, died Tuesday at a Minot hospital from injuries received in the crash. He was the driver of a pickup that crossed the centerline into the eastbound lanes of N.D. Highway 23 and struck a Peterbilt truck, according to the Highway Patrol.
