Band instructor Reese Hamilton with Minot Public Schools is working with Eckroth Music to put on the first annual Band-O-Rama at Magic City Campus on Monday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event starts with performances from the Minot High School Band and Jim Hill Jazz Band.

Hamilton wanted to give students a chance to try out brass and woodwind instruments, so he put together Band-O-Rama.

Brass and woodwind experts from Eckroth Music will be there with different instruments and mouthpieces to allow students to find their best fit. Students also will have the opportunity to do hands-on trials with some percussion instruments. Stations will be set up for each instrument, and students can go to each one to learn how to play them.

If a student finds an instrument they thoroughly enjoy, parents can rent the instrument for their child that same day. Parents can also sign up their children for summer band lessons to get a head start on getting familiar with their new instruments.

No registration is necessary to attend Band-O-Rama..

Starting at $2.99/week.
