MSU to host Women’s Leadership Conference

The Minot State University Looyenga Leadership Centers will host the 2024 Women’s Leadership Conference and Career Fair April 6 in Swain Hall’s third-floor atrium.

The event, which includes a free lunch, is scheduled from 9 a.m-2 p.m. Anyone planning to attend should contact the Looyenga Leadership Center for sign up information to ensure the appropriate amount of food and seating is available.

Terry Eckmann, an MSU professor of kinesiology; Brenda Foster, CEO of First Western Bank & Trust; Jessica Smestad, director of the MSU Honors program; and McKenna Gudmunson, founder of 701 Realty and 701 Healthcare Solutions and part owner of Whiskey Nine, are scheduled to speak at the event.

Along with the scheduled speakers, the Looyenga Leadership Center is hosting a women’s career fair throughout the day. There will be opportunities to seek information about a variety of career paths and potentially earn jobs from area businesses run by female owners and leaders within the community.
