Roosevelt Park closed temporarily
Roosevelt Park closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic today and will remain closed through Friday, March 8, as part of preparations for upcoming work on the MI-7-Roosevelt Park and Zoo phase of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project, according to Minot Park District.
The next preconstruction phase for the project is tree removal within the Roosevelt Park footprint in preparation for full construction to start in the spring of 2024.
The park district asks all citizens to stay clear of this area during this timeframe because of the tree removal occurring, larger equipment and large trucks hauling trees once they are down. During this timeframe all pedestrians will need to look for alternate walking routes as well, due to the large amount of branch debris that will be within the park until cleaning has been completed.
