Nedrose teams take part in LifeSmarts competition

Nine teams from North Dakota participated in the State LifeSmarts competition that was held on Feb. 8 at the North Dakota National Guard RJ Bohn Armory in Bismarck.

The teams were made of students from Tioga, Burke Central, Jamestown, Nedrose and Litchville-Marion, according to information from Nedrose School. All took part in eight rounds of questions before the top three teams advanced to the final round.

The Nedrose Cardinals team placed second and the Nedrose Tetris team placed third.

The winner of the state competition was the Litchville-Marion team, The Money Hounds. They will also be representing North Dakota at the National LifeSmarts competition in San Diego in April.

LifeSmarts is a program that helps teach middle and high school students about five topics: consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance and technology.
