More than 10 Marketplace Foods locations in the North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin area are raising funds through March 26 for the annual MDA Shamrocks campaign to empower the lives of children and adults living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases.

Donations collected for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will go toward accelerating research, advancing care and advocating for the support of families.

Marketplace Foods locations, including those in Minot, are adding an iconic paper Shamrock (pinup) to customer purchases at check out for just $1, $5 or a larger contribution. MDA Shamrocks will be displayed in each of the stores.

Marketplace Foods joins thousands of other retail locations throughout the country in this year’s campaign — the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day-themed fundraiser.
