WATFORD CITY - Eleven archers from Ward County participated in the Badlands Roundup 4-H District Archery Match held in Watford City on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Indoor archery matches are in groups based on age and bow type. The age range is beginner (eight-10 years old), junior (11-13), and senior (14-18). The masters division is for those at least 14 years old and qualified for a national contest in their age and bow division. The bow divisions are Barebow, which uses no sights or releases on the bow, and Freestyle, which contains either sight or a release.

Senior Freestyle division:

- Gage Schenfisch from Minot represented Ward County.

Junior Freestyle division:

- Breanna Mindt, Minot, placed fourth with a score of 142.

- Quade Everson, Minot, placed sixth with a score of 137.

The team of Mindt, Everson, Hadley Yoder, Minot, and Kendall Janz, Ryder, placed second with a combined score of 386.

- Also representing Ward County were Cason Schenfisch and Tatum Ehli, Minot.

Junior Barebow division:

- Reagan Albert, Ryder, placed second with a score of 259.

- Taryn Albert, Ryder, placed fifth with a score of 249.

The team of R. Albert, T. Albert, Tayler Knoke, Minot, and Everson placed second with a combined score of 731.

- Also representing Ward County were Janz and Mindt.

Beginner Freestyle division:

- Representing Ward County was Kelbie Yoder from Minot.
