1 min read

BISMARCK - The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality proposes to issue an air pollution control permit to Hiland Partners Holdings for operation of the Rough Creek Compressor Station in accordance with the N.D. Air Pollution Control Rules.

The station will be used to compress natural gas from nearby wells for pipeline transmission.

The facility will be constructed in McKenzie County, about 40 miles southeast of Williston. Site grading began last fall. Activities such as site work including grading, piping, and equipment that is not an emissions unit may be performed prior to air permit issuance. Construction of emissions sources will begin in February, contingent upon permit issuance.

A 30-day public comment period for the draft will end Feb. 28.
