Leach Foundation funds safety upgrades at Ranch
The Tom and Frances Leach Foundation awarded $5,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch to complete safety upgrades at Dakota Memorial School in Bismarck and Minot. The funds will be used to create a safer educational environment for the at-risk children served by the Ranch.
Dakota Memorial School, the Ranch’s on-campus school, provides individualized educational programming for children receiving residential treatment at the Ranch and day students who live at home but need a specialized education focused on meeting their unique social, behavioral and mental health needs. For youth at the Ranch, healing and learning cannot happen unless their basic needs are met, including feeling safe and secure in their environment.
