Karen Krebsbach

District 40 Sen. Karen Krebsbach of Minot, has announced she will not seek the Republican endorsement for reelection to the North Dakota Senate.

She was first elected to the Senate in 1988 and has served on the Senate Appropriations Committee since 2007. She was Senate Pro Tempore in 2001.

Rep. Randy Schobinger previously announced he will not seek reelection from District 40.

Rep. Matthew Ruby, Minot, announced he plans to seek the Republican endorsement for a third term in the North Dakota House of Representatives in District 40. Ruby was first elected to the House in 2016. He had served on the Human Services Committee as the vice chair, Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Education Committee.
