19 Troopers graduate from training academy

BISMARCK – Nineteen troopers celebrated their graduation from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy on Friday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Ten of the officers, who were currently licensed peace officers prior to joining the NDHP, completed a two-week highway patrol specific training program and were sworn in at various times in 2023.

The remaining nine troopers successfully completed an 18-week, comprehensive law enforcement training program that began in September 2023. They will begin field training with experienced NDHP troopers beginning today and will be temporarily stationed at posts throughout the state.

The NDHP basic graduates and their hometowns are Gregory Conlin, Fargo; Casey Fetch, Sykeston; Frank Holdburg, Jamestown; Jacob Hudson and Landon Jacobson, both Bismarck; Zackary Kennedy, Cando; Kolton Krance, Mandan; Mykal Porter, New Britain, Connecticut; and Arlen Rohrich, Steele.

Those troopers sworn in during 2023 and their stations are Damon Burkel, Bismarck; Trevor Elfman, Devils Lake; Evan Johnson and Shane Johnson, both Jamestown; Andrew Klegstad, Hillsboro; Peter Miley, Williston; Amanda Mohs and Trenton Stewart, Fargo; Remington Timothy, Rugby; and Damian Wright, Wahpeton.
