A special prosecutor has been named in a case against a Surrey man accused of murder and attempted murder after a shooting in Minot in the evening on Christmas Eve.
Stark County State's Attorney Amanda Engelstad has been assigned to the case after Ward County prosecutors and North Central District Court judges recused themselves from the case.
Daniel Breijo, 39, Surrey, has been charged murder of Nicholas Van Pelt, 41, Minot, and attempted murder of a female victim.
