Project provides Christmas dinner to local families

Souris River Basin Longbeards, Marketplace Foods and Community Action Partnership-Minot Region representatives packed 40 boxes of Christmas dinners at Marketplace Foods store at 1930 S. Broadway on Wednesday.

Each dinner included a turkey and all the trimmings.

Souris River Basin Longbeards North Dakota Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation has been making the holidays brighter for more than two decades by providing turkeys for those in need during the holidays. The chapter has a number of partners for the project.

The 40 boxes of Christmas dinners packed on Wednesday were being distributed to families later that day by Community Action Partnership-Minot Region.
