Winners announced

Four individuals, a business and nonprofit organization were honored at the Minot Alliance of Nonprofits’ fifth annual Community Recognition luncheon and awards on Nov. 14.

The 2023 Alliance of Nonprofit award winners are:

– Emerging Leader Award, Elizabeth Weeks, Magic City Discovery Center

– Board member of the Year, Kate Cowart, Domestic Violence Crisis Center

– Most Impactful Business of the Year, Aspire Credit Union

– Dr. Lowell Latimer Lifetime Achievement Award, Roger Reich, Minot Commission on Aging

– Nonprofit Leader of the Year, Ellen Fenner, Minot Symphony Orchestra

– Organization of the Year, Magic City Discovery Center

Nominations were received from the public, and a panel of three community leaders chose the top three in each of six categories. Alliance members voted to determine the winners.

The Alliance of Nonprofits is a membership-based organization that meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at noon at the Parker Senior Center in downtown Minot. There are about 30 nonprofit leaders in the group from the Minot area.
