Three vehicles crash at Minot intersection
One person was taken to the hospital for a possible injury in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 Bypass and 30th Avenue Northwest on Thursday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2011 Subaru Forester, driven by an 89-year-old woman from Minot, was going west on 30th Avenue Northwest and attempting to turn south onto the Highway 83 Bypass. A 2006 Dodge Stratus, driven by a 32-year-old man from Minot, was going south on the bypass. The driver of the Subaru disregarded the posted stop sign and entered the intersection where it was struck by the Dodge. Both vehicles came to rest on the west side of the intersection where the Subaru struck a third vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Express, driven by a 32-year-old man from Minot.
A 27-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Dodge was taken to Trinity Hospital.
The driver of the Dodge and two other passengers, the driver of the Subaru and the driver of the Chevrolet were not injured, All involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts and a child in the Dodge was in a child car seat. The crash happened at 12:25 p.m.
