Inspiritus presents grants at annual luncheon Wednesday
Grants totaling $118,200 were given to support a wide variety of area projects at INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation’s annual luncheon Wednesday.
INSPIRITUS also will match eligible contributions up to a total amount of $393,000 to 75 agencies and food pantries through the ICHF Twice Blessed Program. Donors can contribute to the agencies of their choice through Dec. 31. Last year $1.2 million was distributed through the Twice Blessed program.
Grants provided to organizations Wednesday are for projects that impact the mental, physical, spiritual and/or emotional well-being of people in the counties of Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Ward and Wells. Grants will impact a nature and healing program for at-risk children, community resource centers and food pantries, handicap accessibility projects, pregnancy and parenting support, meals and transportation for seniors, a juvenile drug court incentive program, nutrition services for seniors, inclusive playground for children, automatic external defibrillators, dental care for children, low-income housing, protective gear for firefighters, hospital chapel and more.
