Committee looks into childcare training
Jill Schramm/MDN Minot Area Workforce Center Director Pam Stroklund, left, gives a tour Monday of the early childhood training program area to members of the City of Minot’s Childcare Committee and other city representatives. A feature of the new workforce center is the ability to view a Head Start classroom through an observation window. Early-childhood students also work directly with Head Start children in the classroom and conduct one-day camps for children. The program began operating this fall in the center located near the future Minot North High School. Stroklund said the intent is to find additional uses for the facility space that aid in addressing community childcare needs.
