BISMARCK – Berthold received a $1,050,000 Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan and a $731,000 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan toward a project to improve or replace the community’s water and sanitary sewer mains along Main Street.

The project will reduce emergency repairs and improve system reliability.

The State Revolving Fund (SRF) programs are jointly administered by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality and the North Dakota Public Finance Authority. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides part of the SRF programs’ funding, which offers below-market interest rate loans to political subdivisions for financing projects authorized under the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act.
