Do you have your dancing shoes on? Minot Senior Coalition has a great event coming up.
Our fall festival will be held Oct. 12 from 2-4 p.m. at the Minot Moose Lodge. The Replacements band will be playing good dancing tunes. Charge at the door is $5.
Refreshments will be served with hot coffee and there will be door prizes. Also, the Moose Club will provide a meal, extra charge, at 5 p.m. for those who want to stay and have delicious food. Don't have to be a member. Bingo will follow.
We have a special feature — flu and various other shots will be offered by the First District Health Unit. They will start shots at 1:30 p.m. and continue to 4 p.m.
The festival is open to the public and you do not need to be a senior to attend this event. It's a fun way to spend the afternoon.
I want to thank everybody for attending the Salute to Senior. It was a great success. Thank you also to sponsors vendors and volunteers. We have great entertainment coming your way next year on May 14, 2024. The theme is "Country & Western Hoedown." Mark it on your event calendar.
