1 min read

The Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Resources Management and Sustainability (FARRMS) is inviting the public on a local food tour of Minot area farms on Monday.

Attendees will meet with local farmers and learn about the region's local food businesses, including Beagle Hill Organic Farm of Minot, owned by Paul Lepp at Minot, and Barfield Fresh Organic Produce and Fish, Inc., in Burlington, an aquaponics business started by Robert Barfield and Quinn Rendfant.

During lunch at Prairie Sky Breads, participants will hear from Travis Gerjets, founder of Prairie Sky Breads, along with other local food advocates and activists about the importance of supporting local food businesses and exploring opportunities in the local food sector.

Farmers, community members, local food advocates and anyone interested in sustainable agriculture is welcome to join the tour. To secure a spot, register at farrms.org.

Starting at /week.
