Ribbon-cutting set for Sawyer bridge project
SAWYER – A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Monday to celebrate completion of the Sawyer Bridge project, according to the Souris River Joint Board.
The bridge demolition started in April of 2022 and construction of bridge was completed in the spring of 2023. This is the first of three bridge projects planned as part of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m. at the rural bridge location on Ward County Road 23 over the Souris River at the north edge of Sawyer.
