BISMARCK - The Cultural Heritage Grant Program provides grant funding for local museums and historical societies for exhibits, special projects or events, education activities, collections and capital improvements.
Applications for the 2023 Cultural Heritage Grant are now being accepted. Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Heritage Training Scholarships, Main Street Community Education Grants, the North Dakota Museum Assessment Program and the Archival Supply Purchase Grants are also available through the grant program.
Applications and guidelines for the grant programs are available at history.nd.gov/hp/grants.html or can be requested by contacting Grants and Contracts Officer Amy Munson at 328-3573. Funding of $500,000 for the grant programs was authorized by the North Dakota Legislature. The Cultural Heritage Grant Program has been administered by the State Historical Society since it was first created in 2003.
