Solidarity Saturdays, a program of Prairie Action ND, returns Saturday with the final event of its 2023 Spring Series.

June’s virtual Solidarity Saturday program is titled “From Grassroots to Governance: Unleashing the Power of Ballot Measures for Progressive Policy Change in North Dakota.” The one-hour program will delve into the transformative role ballot measures play in North Dakota.

Speakers include Carol Sawicki, League of Women Voters, discussing the historical significance of the ballot measure process in North Dakota; Jed Limke, Reform Fargo, focusing on progressive reforms through the municipal ballot measure process; and Amy Jacobson, Prairie Action ND, sharing how the ballot measure process can be utilized to achieve progressive policy wins.
