EPIC Companies plans to build Minot hotel

Three ND sites identified to open in 2026

EPIC Companies, based in Minot and West Fargo, has announced it will develop three hybrid hotels in North Dakota, including one at The Tracks site in southwest Minot.

Called I M A G I N E by EPIC, these hotels will support EPIC’s sites already in development. In addition to the The Tracks, which is near the new Trinity Hospital, the sites are The Beacon by EPIC in downtown Grand Forks and EOLA by EPIC, where The Wave by EPIC Waterpark Resort will be located, in Fargo. The first three hotels will open in the summer of 2026.

I M A G I N E by EPIC is a new hotel brand, developed by EPIC and its hospitality partners. The hotels each will have 110-140 rooms on five floors, with upscale living options on the top floor. Residents in the EPIC mixed-use communities will have access to amenities and services provided by the hotels, such as pool/hot tub, cleaning and maintenance services, fitness room, convenience store, meeting rooms and 24-hour security.

Primary colors will be black and gold, with a secondary color that will tie into each area’s unique location.

Each hotel will have a complementary bar/restaurant space that will be located within the development. EPIC Companies is also developing a branded dive bar, along with an event space that will accommodate 250-300 people. More information will be released on these spaces in the future.

“Now not only can a patron of our events and those of our partners get the privilege of experiencing an event with us, but they can also enjoy the one-stop shop of staying for an overnight, or two, as well,” said Lance Johnson, chief events officer at EPIC Companies.

The planned architect of record is BKV Group of Minneapolis, with the construction being completed by Construction by EPIC. I M A G I N E by EPIC hotels will be managed by a joint venture with S & L Hospitality in Wisconsin and EPIC Companies.

EPIC Companies also developed Blu on Broadway, held an interest in the Park South Townhomes development and is developing the downtown Big M building. EPIC Events manages and promotes Norsk Hostfest.
