Police investigating fatal crash

The Minot Police Department are investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on South Broadway on Monday afternoon.

According to investigators a motorcycle ridden by a 56-year-old man from Max was traveling southbound on South Broadway approaching 40th Avenue Southwest when an eastbound vehicle turning north onto Broadway crossed the southbound lane and was struck by the motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle was transported to Trinity Medical Center, where police report he succumbed to his injuries. The 66-year-old from Lansford who was driving the vehicle was uninjured. The names of the drivers are being withheld pending the investigation and notification of next of kin.

The crash is still under investigation with assistance from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
