The events include a ranger-guided hike through Fort Stevenson’s native prairie, starting at the Visitor Center at 2 p.m. North Dakota bird checklists will be available. An amphitheater program begins at 8 p.m. at Lake Metigoshe that will feature a talk about scats, tracks and traces that might be found along a trail.

Guided hikes also are being offered at Fort Ransom at 1 p.m. at the Visitor Center and at Turtle River at 1 p.m. at the Hillside Picnic Shelter. Icelandic State Park will offer a hiking opportunity June 2 at 9 p.m. and a Pioneer Lifestyles hike Saturday at 10 a.m. and Nature Journaling hike June 3 at 8 p.m.
