JAMESTOWN - Local students have all been selected to represent Minot Central, Our Redeemer's, Nedrose and Surrey schools at the North Dakota Leadership Seminar June 2-4 at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown.
Nicole Couture, Bolu Omole, Mikayla Altringer, Alena Hall, Emily Heydt, Kynzee Ragle, Morgan Andersen, Skylar Blair and Taylor Spaulding were selected because of their leadership skills, commitment to community service and involvement in their schools and community.
For more than 40 years, North Dakota Leadership Seminar has brought together some of the North Dakota's most talented young people from across the state for an extraordinary weekend focused on leadership development, service and issue awareness through empowering discussions and informal debate. Students walk away each year with the tools they need to motivate their peers to make a difference in their communities and schools.
This year students will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with business and community leaders such as Katie Larson of True North Steel; Nate Maddox, vice president of Experience Bismarck Larks; Micheal Mulloy, founder of Mulloy Attorneys at Law; and Norene Baeth, coordinator of Project Linus.
