Virtual presentation educates family members on money matters
The Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota is offering a no-charge virtual financial education presentation to those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia entitled “Money Matters: Protecting Your Future” on Thursday from 12-1:30 p.m.
Paula Chapman, financial professional at RBC Wealth Management, will discuss tips on managing someone else’s finances, preparing for future costs, and becoming familiar with common scammer techniques. Chapman encourages families to “have that conversation,” with their loved ones sooner rather than later.
Chapman’s top tips include seeking advice from certified financial and legal professionals, collaborating with insurance to find the best care options, and reaching out to potential community services that can provide help for free or at a low cost.
