WILLISTON -- A Williston man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after an investigation by the Northwest Narcotics Task Force resulted in the seizure of multiple controlled substances and firearms.
The task force executed a search warrant at the South Ridge Apartment complex in Williston on Tuesday with assistance from the Williston Police Department.
According to a release from the NWNTF, its search resulted in the seizure of 480 grams of suspected fentanyl which is approximately 4,320 pills, 105 grams of cocaine, 705 grams of methamphetamine, 645 grams of marijuana, 122 packs of THC edibles, along with four firearms. Investigators estimate the street value of the drugs to be approximately $350,000.
Richard Regis Lloyd has been arrested and charged with the possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver marijuana, THC and four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, all Class C felonies. Lloyd was also charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver cocaine in excess of 50 grams, methamphetamine in excess of 50 grams, and fentanyl in excess of 40 grams, all Class A felonies. The maximum penalties for the Class C felonies are five years in prison and a fine of $10,000, and 20 years with up to $20,000 in fines for the Class A felonies.
Lloyd is being detained at the Williams County Correctional Center while he awaits his initial appearance.
The NWNTF is a multi-jurisdictional task for that includes sheriff's offices and police departments from Williams, McKenzie and Divide counties, Williston and Watford City, and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Authorities say the task force's investigation continues, and further charges are being sought for other individuals who may be involved.
