The Minot Area Chamber EDC invites the public to participate in its annual Citywide Cleanup event on Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6.
Minot Area Chamber EDC member-investors and other community members are invited to clean up around their buildings and to provide volunteers to clean the city entrances.
"We are always so happy to see the snow finally melt each spring, but it tends to uncover a lot of
trash," said Carla Dolan, vice president of MACEDC. "We're grateful that year after year, volunteers come together to tidy up our town and make Minot more beautiful as warm weather arrives."
During the week starting May 1, participants are asked to send a team captain to the MACEDC office at 1020 20th Ave. SW to collect trash bags, supplied by the City of Minot. Then be sure to bring gloves and head out on May 5 between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and May 6 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to fill trash bags. Once bags are filled, place them in a pile or two along the roadway and city crews will pick them up.
