A Class C felony felonious restraint charge based on an accusation that Darnell Lamar Burton, 36, had held a woman against her will on Oct. 18 was dismissed on Nov 23 after a probable cause hearing was held in district court in Ward County. Judge Stacy Louser signed an order of dismissal, noting she found there was a lack of probable cause for the felony charge.

Court records show that a Class A misdemeanor charge of violation of a no contact order on Oct. 18 still stands against Burton.
