WILLISTON – A Belcourt man died in a one-vehicle rollover about 17 miles west of Williston on Friday.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Elmer Parisien, 64, driving a 1995 Chevrolet Astro, died in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, Theresa Parisien, 61, also of Belcourt, had minor injuries.

Elmer Parisien was going south on 153rd Avenue Northwest (County Road 5) about 4:20 p.m. on Friday when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the ditch, struck a tree, and rolled. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Theresa Parisien was taken by ambulance to CHI St. Alexius medical facility in Williston.

Both were wearing their seat belts.

The crash remains under the investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
