Two men injured in two-vehicle crash

RAY – A Minot man and a Ray man were injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2, four miles west of Ray, on Wednesday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a Ford pickup hauling a gooseneck trailer was traveling east on Highway 2, west of Ray, and a John Deere tractor towing a baler was traveling east in the same area. The pickup was driven by Kyle Henson, 31, Minot. Henson failed to see the slow-moving tractor being driven by Thomas Daniel, 67, Ray. Henson then struck the rear end of the tractor. Daniel was ejected from the tractor and suffered serious injuries. After striking Daniel, Henson’s vehicle continued into the south ditch, where his vehicle came to rest. Henson was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Henson also suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Both Henson and Daniel were transported by ambulance to Tioga Medical Center in Tioga.

The crash remains under investigation by the N.D. Highway Patrol.
