Kenneth Allen Talford, 32, Minot, was sentenced on Thursday to three years in prison, all suspended but 60 days, and three years of supervised probation for Class C felony theft in July.
Judge Richard Hagar gave him credit for three days already served in the Ward County Jail. Hagar also ordered Talford to pay $605 in court costs, including $80 in restitution.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Talford had been working as a housekeeper at a southwest Minot hotel and stole a diamond ring valued at $2,686 from a room he had been assigned to clean. Talford later pawned the ring for $80 at a local pawn shop. Police recovered the ring.
